In April there will be a 2% cut in the basic rate of income tax - sounds like good news! But the Church of England will lose £8 million because of the consequent drop in Gift Aid due to the drop in the tax rate. We will all need to review our giving to the church this year as our costs of running the church are increasing - that's a challenge to us all!
